Michigan Central Train Station Grand Re-Opening
"Detroit, we're up. I love you. Our city's up. Let's ****** go!”
And with those words from Eminem, one of the most highly-anticipated events in Detroit's proud history came to a close. A success by any standards, Michigan Central Station's re-grand opening festivities drew 20,000 attendees into the city, with millions more streaming from Peacock NBC Network.
Following this spectacular kickoff, the excitement continued with the Michigan Central “OPEN House”. For ten days, visitors were invited to explore the newly restored station and its offerings, while guests enjoyed a vibrant array of music and local entertainment on the front lawn of Newlab at Michigan Central Station.
Book Tower Press Conference & Grand Re-Opening
In August 2023, a major downtown roadway was transformed into a vibrant hub of music, food, and community spirit. Bedrock Detroit brought the city to life with “Celebration in the City,” an event honoring the grand reopening of the historic Book Tower. The festivities began with a lively press conference and unfolded into a free public celebration featuring Grammy-winning artist Miguel, the Detroit Youth Choir, and a showcase of local small business booths and food trucks.
The excitement continued into the evening with an exclusive VIP after-party, offering never-before-seen rooftop views of Detroit’s skyline and a private concert by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Ne-Yo. From outdoor performances and historical exhibits to delicious local flavors, “Celebration in the City” captured the energy and heart of Detroit like never before.
